This steamer comes with two steamer inserts and is so huge that I could cook an entire meal for 4 people in it. It is really well made and the handles are a good size for lifting it. It comes with a glass lid and I haven't had the heat problem that another reviewer experienced and have been able to lift the lid without a oven glove. Now used it 6 or 7 times since it arrived about a week ago and love it. My only grumble is that I have to wash it by hand as it fills my dishwasher on its own, but thats a small price to pay!

My unit came with a little bit of red on the handles. It's adorable and works great and quickly. The only downfall is that the knob on the glass lid became hot enough to have to use a pot holder to remove it. The tray handles did not get too hot. It's well made and sturdy.

This steamer is great! I make steamed rolls for my husband weekly, and this holds plenty while they are steaming. I dont have to worry weather they are going to crack like bamboo steamers do after lots of use, plus they are so much easier to clean. I like the glass lid, it allows me to see the buns as they are cooking. I also steam dumplings, chicken, veges..... love my birthday present!

If you need a steamer for any reason. Get this one and

from this company. They did the service of personally emailing

me to let me know it was in the mail, not just the email that

Amazon sends out. If your new to steaming and I was, general instructions would be nice, but all you do is rotate the two pots half way through

the cooking time and you can pretty much figure it out from there. I haven't used the smaller steamer so can't tell you much there, I always cook fairly large. If I lost this one somehow, I would definitely get another the same size.

The model I was shipped has a glass lid (shipper checked first to see if I was OK with the substitution). I'm really happy with my selection, especially with the size I purchased. I can fit pie pans or cake pans full of food in the steamer racks, and have plenty of room all around for the steam to circulate and also lots of room to reach in and pull out the food even wearing oven mitts. I can make a whole meal in 20 minutes in this, and only use one burner! Since this isn't one of those new electric steamers, I have more versatility with what can be done with it. I can use the large bottom pot for soups, stews, or even as a chicken fryer! I find I'm using this steamer set several times a week.

I read the reviews here about the wooden handle issues, but crossed my fingers and ordered this anyway (great price). When the spatula arrived I tugged on the wooden handle to see if there would be an issue, it popped right off with ease. It just sticks in the handle like a cork. I really like the spatula and wanted to make it work so I figured I would go out to the garage and put a screw in it.

When I got out there I saw I tube of Liquid Nails (contractor strength, bought from home depot). I squirted the end of the handle full and shoved the wooden part in there, then let it dry overnight. This worked like a charm, no matter how hard you pull on it, it stays put. I gave the edges where the wood meets metal a little sanding and you would never know the dirty little secret.

The wood already seems dry and has a split in it, I'll probably put some water seal on it when I can find some.

I used it to cook with and it works like a champ, I really like this spatula.

I bought this spatula along with a new wok for Christmas. And as soon as I took the spatula out of the package the wooden part of the handle started falling off. I tried to convince myself that it was part of the design for cleaning. So I pushed the wood back in and went on trying to convince myself. Then the first time it was used the wood part fell right out again. It can be pushed in, but clearly this will remain a problem. The spatula worked beautifully when cooking. It really provided a way to move everything around easily in a very full wok. I'd love to get a new one to replace this one, however the return shipping is just about the cost of the spatula so it isn't worth returning.

The lower level of the wok is too small for cooking, too shallow for frying. The upper one is too big yet can not hold food as it is designed for. This wok is a novel-designed yet horrible in practice. It might have other good sides. But if you are looking for wok to cook Chinese food, think before you buy.

BTW, I really really like the bonus profilo. Too bad I can not keep it. I have been missing them after I returned them. But buy the work for the bonus seems not a good idea.

This is a very large cooking vessel. It has a very heavy bottom, and heats up quickly. I especially like the see thru glass lid. It allows me to check the food as it is steaming or as it is quick frying. There is plenty of room to move the food from the cooking area, then go on to the next batch of frying. The cooking area is very roomy.

This is not a non-stick pan. I found that out the hard way while frying some velveted pork at a high temperature. The breading tends to stick to the pan. Instead of washing the pan in the dishwasher, I now just wipe it out with a nylon scuffy and dry it. (I am trying to season the pan slowly as I use it.)

It looks very nice sitting on top of my cook stove; and it works very well with my ceramic cooking surface. It's a very nice piece that includes a utensil set, a stir fry utensil and a steaming shelf.

The flat bottom is a bad idea. I've used woks for many years,thought I'd try this. I hate it. Uses much more oil, and it's much harder to push the cooked food up the sides. It turns out that there's a reason they've used round-bottoms for centuries. I would never buy a flat-bottomed wok again.

Staub enameled cast iron products are highly durable. They do not discolor or rust, they resist chipping, and do not require seasoning.

The interior, as well as the exterior surfaces are enameled iron. The durable black ---matte--- enamel interior, as with all Staub cast iron, doesn't need seasoning. The more you use your Staub product, the better it gets! I love this item. I have used it every single day since I got it. And plan to buy a couple more so that I have extra in case one is dirty. You can't go wrong with this utensil.

I was making fried okra one evening and didn't want to get my hands all goopy digging the okra out of the corn meal. So I used the strainer, just scooped and jiggled it a bit to get the extra meal off the okra. Then I was able to just drop the okra in the oil. I was then able to remove the okra when it was done with that same strainer. It really made a difference on how much oil was removed when I took it out of the hot oil. And Best of all NO Goopy hands!
