I've had other Woks, in the past, including an electric one; but, this Lodge Pro Cast-Iron Wok, is by far the best, in my opinion.

I'm sorry I waited so long to get this wok. It is amazing. It's great for stir fries. Because it's cast iron, it holds heat well. It will last a life time.

This wok is quality! What makes it stand out is that it retains heat evenly even on a poor heating element. I have a very low BTU, apartment gas range that doesn't put out enough heat, but what's nice about this wok is that you can throw it into a preheating 500 degree oven for ten minutes and pull it out and be stir frying like a champ.
I've used it to make meat sauces for spaghetti, stir fry, to fry eggs, boil water for ramen noodles... what haven't I used it for should be the question... This would make a great gift for someone just starting off as it really can be used for just about everything. And cleanup is really simple. Just follow normal cast iron care instructions. Truthfully this wok never leaves my range.

Just got this wok and tried it out last night. I've never been able to stir fry on my stove before because I just couldn't get enough heat. Well this works really well when pre heated for a few minutes on my low btu stove...can't wait to try it on my new ******** range.

Excellent wok. It retains heat capably so adding frozen vegetables doesn't cool it down to the point where they steam in their own juices as oppose to flash frying. I thought its weight would be a detracting factor, but it has turned out to be a huge plus as I can can stir and scrape to my heart's content without having to hold onto the handles. And of course, it will last many lifetimes. I was going to take a chance and buy a less expensive cast iron wok from Amazon, but it was made overseas and the reviews were terrible. Spend a few extra dollars and gain peace of mind. Your search for the perfect wok has come to an end. I recommend it without reservation.
